What to Expect: Slow Flow

Lisa Clayman | SEP 23, 2026

Slow doesn’t necessarily mean easy.

And it definitely doesn’t mean boring.

Slow Flow is an opportunity to take some of the speed out of your movement and actually notice what’s happening while you’re moving.

Instead of rushing from one shape to the next, we give ourselves time to explore the transitions, the breath, the sensations, and the subtle details that are easy to miss when we’re moving quickly.

You’ll still move.

You’ll still build strength.

You’ll still challenge yourself.

But there’s more space between things.

Why slow down?

We’re often taught to think about movement in terms of the destination.

Get into the pose.

Go deeper.

Hold longer.

Do more.

But slowing down changes the experience.

When you move slowly, you have an opportunity to notice where you’re compensating, where you’re holding tension, where you have control, and where you don’t.

You might discover that a movement you’ve done a hundred times feels completely different when you stop rushing through it.

That’s kind of the point.

What should you expect?

Expect a slower-paced vinyasa style practice with intentional movement, mobility work, strength, balance, and plenty of opportunities to breathe.

You don’t have to be experienced.

You don’t have to be naturally flexible.

And you don’t have to be good at yoga.

Come as you are and give yourself permission to move at a different pace for a little while.

Sometimes slowing down is where we actually start paying attention.
